Being Mary Jane
Gaia @ The Corcoran Gallery
Gaia is an immersive art experience that sprouted from a DC-based group of musicians, dancers and artists. Gaia invites the audience into the middle and creates an interactive experience: part concert, part nightclub, part performance art... Odds are you haven't seen anything quite like it. D'Blend has been part of Gaia, and has collaborated with Asahra Music on the overall Gaia experience. Gaia at the Corcoran Gallery presented a new canvas worth exploring. We did video projection mapping on to the first floor of the galley. This included live video mixing, with digital projections on to the Corcoran's walls and columns, using the iPad used as a wireless midi controller.
Healthcare Associations Conference 2011
D'Blend was commissioned to update the conference theme, and to modernize the overall look and feel. I directed the team at D'Blend to develop a consistent creative with progressive lines that highlighted the various topics of the conference. COLOR II: is part of an ongoing exploration of space and light. This live art + video installation was part of the Gaia DC Festival in August 2010 at the Fridge Gallery in South East Washington DC. Each sphere presented a digital biosphere, planets and stars of the solar system. Videos, photographs and animations, filled the spheres that we controlled to play with the sound and the performances of the event.

On a Clear Night
Selective Intelligence blends lounge, jazz, neo-soul, poems that aren't quite lyrics, notes that aren't quite melodies, ideas that aren't quite arrangements, and emotions that are waiting to be songs...
I collaborated in the design and animation for the video single release: On a Clear Night. Along with illustrator Juana Medina and project manager Juan Botero we develop a short animation and an album cover for the song.

Nutty Holiday Wishes
Hand cut, screen printed and sewn - D'Blend Holiday goody bag, filled with a variety of nuts (and of course a nutcracker). We wanted to give our friends, clients and neighboors something fun, edible, sharable, that would warmen up the cold winter days. We even had a new visitor befriend us because of the crazy amounts of nuts we had at the studio.
